The Adventures of Jester Chip

While getting an overview over my Ouvre of Unfinished Masterpieces (how I call it in a more ironical way – I’m not that vain!) I stumbled upon a little thing which seemed worthy a reanimation. In winter 2006 I started to create a short point & click adventure game in flash. It was supposed to be called “The Adventures of Jester Chip” (I know, not such a brilliant title). I’ve drawn various backgrounds and the main character was fully animated. Though, I never get past the first room since I wasn’t able to find a time efficient way to code the game logic in action script. You could walk around, look at things, pick stuff up and combine items, but the coding part in flash was so time consuming that at some point I wasn’t able to continue. You know, life got into way, I had to learn for exams and so on.
Three years have passed and each time I look at the puppy-eyed Jester Chip pleading for a way out of his prison cell, I regret every day I didn’t resume the work on his promising adventures. But I’m back, maybe a little bit wiser this time, but defenetly having three or four hours a week on my hands which I can spend on Chip’s adventurere.
Stay tuned!
